Even if modern buildings often appear to be monochrome, "black" monoliths made of concrete, steel and glass, there is far more colour in them than one would initially assume. When several such modernly designed buildings are grouped next to each other, their shiny, reflective facades have a potentiating effect: They promote and intensify the incidence and refraction of light and unexpected spectrum of colours opens up. This colourfulness, that can be hidden in "black and white" pictures, has occupied and fascinated me in my work for a long time again and again.
